FUEL PRICE FIRE: Okoye Blasts Tinubu, Dangote, NNPCL
With a sense of urgency and desperation, Nigerian accomplished showbiz professional, Paulo Okoye has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, business magnate Aliko Dangote, and the CEO of NNPCL to intervene in the escalating fuel price crisis that has left millions of Nigerians struggling to make ends meet.
With fuel prices soaring to as high as N865 to N897 per liter in some parts of Lagos, Okoye begged the trio to reduce the price to N450, citing the untold suffering of ordinary Nigerians who are already grappling with the harsh realities of poverty, unemployment, and inflation.
In an emotional Instagram post, Okoye pleaded: “Please, for the love of Nigerians, bring down the fuel price to N450. We’re begging you! The current price is unbearable and is causing untold hardship for millions of Nigerians. We can’t continue like this!”
As the nation grapples with a severe gasoline shortage and skyrocketing prices, Okoye’s appeal is a desperate cry for relief. The fuel price crisis has led to a surge in transportation costs, food prices, and other essential commodities, making life even more difficult for the average Nigerian.
Okoye’s plea has resonated with many Nigerians who are calling on the government and stakeholders in the oil industry to take immediate action to address the fuel price crisis. While some have applauded Okoye’s boldness in speaking out, others have criticized him for not providing solutions to the problem.
However, Okoye’s appeal is not just a call for action; it’s a reminder to those in power that the fuel price crisis is a ticking time bomb that can have far-reaching consequences for the economy and national security.
Will President Tinubu, Aliko Dangote, and the NNPCL CEO heed Okoye’s plea and bring relief to the long-suffering Nigerian masses? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain – the fuel price crisis is a critical moment that will reveal their level of compassion for Nigerians, and their response will determine the fate of millions.
