‎Ese-Odo Elderly Set for Relief Windfall as High Chief Molos Strengthens Council’s Welfare Mission

In a move aimed at strengthening social protection for the elderly, the Ese-Odo Local Government Authority has confirmed the rollout of a three-month stipend payment for senior citizens enrolled in its Social Welfare Programme.

The initiative, designed exclusively for residents aged 70 and above, will be conducted across two centres in Apoi and Arogbo communities, the council stated.

‎According to Denis Pounah, Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo LGA, the administration is committed to ensuring that “our aged mothers and fathers” receive their entitlements in a smooth, organised and accessible manner. He urged the public to amplify the information to guarantee full participation.

PRESS RELEASE

DISBURSEMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMME STIPENDS FOR THE AGED IN ESE-ODO LGA.

‎This is to inform the general public, most especially the beneficiaries of the social welfare programme for the aged people (70 years and above) in Ese-Odo Local Government Area, that the official disbursement of stipends for three Months, for our aged commences as slated below;

Date- Tuesday, 9th December, 2025

Time – 11:00am

Venue – Secretariat Complex Igbekebo. (For Apoi Beneficiaries)

Wednesday, 10th December, 2025

Time- 11:00am

Venue- Riverfront Hotel, Agadagba -Obon (For Arogbo Beneficiaries)

Beneficiaries without Bank Account should come with passport photographs, as Bank officials, and others will be on ground to open bank accounts, register BVN and NIN for them, for subsequent payments.

Note: Beneficiaries are to come with both Voter’s Card and National Identification Card for identification.

This is information is strictly for persons at the age of 70 Years and above.
