Ese-Odo Chairman Molos Leads Tribute for Iya Abo, Representing Governor Aiyedatiwa at Her Funeral

The Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos (CEM), attended the funeral service of the late Chief (Mrs.) Esther Omowunmi Ebiwonjumi, affectionately known as ‘Iya Abo,’ at the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ilutitun, Apoi Zion, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

In a statement signed and forwarded to our correspondent by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo, Dennis Pounah, it was revealed that Chairman Molos represented the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, at the service. Iya Abo, a renowned grassroots mobilizer, was described as a tireless advocate for both men and women in the community.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, through Chairman Molos, extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, children, and the body of Christ left behind by the deceased. The governor also expressed his gratitude for Madam Ebiwonjumi’s pivotal role in his electoral success during the November 2024 gubernatorial elections, acknowledging her immense contribution. Governor Aiyedatiwa remarked that Iya Abo’s presence would be deeply missed by all.

The funeral service was attended by several prominent figures and political personalities, including Hon. Kingsley K. Kuku, PhD; Hon. Kolade Victor Akinjo; Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele; Barr. Eric Pere Yanyangbini; Barr. Zik Baratei Kegbe; Barr. Allen Sowore (SSA to Governor Aiyedatiwa); Barr. John Ola Mafo; and many others.

Following the service, the body of the late political giant was laid to rest.
