Udengs Eradiri, the former governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Bayelsa State, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). He credited President Bola Tinubu for various development projects in his Agudiama/Ekpetiama community, located in Yenagoa Local Government Area. Eradiri highlighted that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), led by Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, under Tinubu’s administration, provided his community with potable water, shore protection, solar lights, and a one-kilometer road.

He also mentioned that nearly all Niger Delta communities had benefitted from the NDDC’s light-up project and other interventions. The government, he noted, has promised additional projects such as the remodeling of the local secondary school and a lodge for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members.

Eradiri praised the peace and infrastructure progress in the region, which he attributed to the support of the NDDC and Tantita Security Services under Tinubu’s leadership. He pointed out that the recent passage of the Maritime University Bill and the establishment of the University of Technology and Environment in Ogoni were crucial steps toward enhancing the region’s stability. Eradiri further commended Tinubu for addressing the long-standing injustices and marginalization of the Niger Delta, highlighting key appointments such as the Head of Service, the Ministry of Petroleum, and the Managing Director of the NDDC, which have all contributed to a steady increase in oil production.
