Ege Akpo-Otu Alfred Clarifies Stand on IYC Clan Rumors

Comrade (MLS) Ege Akpo-Otu Alfred, a prominent stakeholder in the Arogbo Kingdom, has issued a public notice to address and dispel rumors that he is forming a factional Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Clan Executives Council in the Arogbo Clan.

The statement reads in full below;

PUBLIC NOTICE

My attention has been drawn to an unverifiable rumor circulating in our metropolitan area, Arogbo Kingdom, that I am forming a factional IYC Clan Executives Council, Arogbo Clan, Ondo State.

This publication becomes imperative to clear my stand following numerous calls I have received from stakeholders regarding my objectives as a stakeholder in our revered struggle for the emancipation, resource control, and self-determination of our dear kingdom.

Please, to avoid doubts, conspiracy theories, and malicious assumptions from some individuals within the clan structure, I categorically state that I have no plan or intention to form or be part of any factional body in the clan.

The disruption that occurred on the WhatsApp platform was a result of an administrative disagreement and nothing more. The last election between the chairman and me was a brotherly contest, and we have a good relationship.

In lieu of the above, I advise those who are bent on causing chaos at the clan level to desist from such divisive acts. Let us unite and focus on the progress of our struggle.
