At a critical juncture for grassroot participation in Ondo State’s oil-rich communities, Comrade Lawrence Tibi-ebi Steven, has been officially sworn in as a Non-Executive Board Member (Part-time) of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC).
His appointment is not merely ceremonial, it is a resounding call to duty. And in his own stirring words, Comrade Steven has answered that call with fire, purpose, and an ironclad commitment to serve.
In an emotionally charged and powerfully worded public statement titled “Officially Sworn In: Honoured to Serve Ondo’s Oil-Producing Communities,” Comrade Steven laid bare his mission, his gratitude, and his unshakable vision for the development of the marginalized oil-producing communities of Ondo State.

Officially Sworn In: Honoured to Serve Ondo’s Oil-Producing Communities
“Today, history calls and I have answered.
It is with profound honor and an overwhelming sense of purpose that I have been officially sworn in as Non-Executive Board Member (Part-time) of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC). This is not just a personal milestone—it is a solemn responsibility to uplift lives, empower communities, and drive meaningful development across our oil-producing areas.
I give all glory to the Almighty God, who remains the author and sustainer of my destiny. I am eternally grateful for His grace and mercy.
To the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, I extend my deepest appreciation. Your confidence in me is not misplaced, and I shall justify it with staunch dedication. Under your visionary leadership and in full alignment with your OUR EASE Agenda, I will champion inclusive governance, sustainable development, and accountability in all spheres of my duty.
I salute the All Progressives Congress (APC) family, my loyal supporters, comrades, and every soul who stood by me in the trenches those who believed in the mission long before this day arrived. Your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed. This victory belongs to all of us.
A special recognition goes to the Planning Committee, whose meticulous work and dedication brought this day to life. In particular, I commend the exemplary leadership of Chief (Barr.) Dio Michael, whose tireless commitment, strategic insight, and organizational mastery ensured the success of this momentous event. You are a pillar of this triumph.
