COASTAL HIGHWAY COMMISSIONED: Tinubu’s Legacy Takes Root from the Shores of Lagos

In what is being described as one of the most daring and transformational infrastructure moves in Nigeria’s history, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the commissioning of the first phase of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, calling it a colossal national breakthrough and a game-changer for regional development.”

In a strongly worded statement, Governor Sanwo-Olu declared: This is not just a road. This is a symbol of renewed hope, bold leadership, and a fearless commitment to Nigeria’s future. The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is a generational legacy that will redefine commerce, mobility, and national unity.”

The Governor emphasized the project’s profound economic and social impact, saying the highway will unleash massive job opportunities, boost intra-regional trade, connect long-neglected communities, and ignite full-scale development across Nigeria’s coastal states. This project is a bold testament to what visionary governance looks like. It is unlocking jobs, opening trade corridors, and reconnecting forgotten regions of this country. It is the future, built today,” he asserted.

He concluded his statement with high praise for the President:

The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, once a dream, has now taken firm shape and with it, Nigeria steps boldly into a new era of infrastructure-driven transformation.
