Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Brentford wasn’t without its challenges, as the Gunners, despite dominating early, found themselves trailing after just 13 minutes. Bryan Mbeumo scored for the hosts with their first real shot on goal, leaving Arsenal in a difficult position. Things nearly worsened shortly after when David Raya made an incredible save to keep a shot destined for goal from slipping past him, which could have put Arsenal further behind.

Manager Mikel Arteta acknowledged the tough task ahead after conceding early but expressed pride in his team’s response. He praised their composure and emotional control, highlighting their persistence in attacking Brentford and ultimately deserving the win.

The victory was even more significant as Chelsea slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Ipswich Town, allowing Arsenal to move four points clear of their London rivals.

With Bukayo Saka sidelined for about eight weeks, there was speculation that Arsenal might need to enter the transfer market to cover for his absence. However, Ethan Nwaneri’s strong performance against Brentford has raised questions about whether he could step in as Saka’s replacement. While Arteta’s plans for Nwaneri remain unclear, the young player has certainly given his manager something to consider.

Overall, it was a tough but rewarding win for Arsenal, as they overcame significant obstacles to claim all three points on the road.
