In an effort to enhance infrastructural development, Hon. Donald Kimikanboh Ojogo, the Member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has spearheaded the construction of a state-of-the-art concrete landing jetty at Agbwobiri, Arogbo. The groundbreaking flag-off ceremony took place at the ancient Okpoka compound, Agbwobiri, Arogbo, with the Agadagba/Paramount Ruler of Arogbo-Ijaw Ibe (Kingdom), His Imperial Majesty, Pere Zacchaeus Doubra Egbunu Esq., (JP, FCAI, LL.M) Opukutu III, presiding over the official commencement of this all- important project.
This jetty is designed to revolutionise transportation and invigorate economic activities in the riverine communities. Under the watchful supervision of the Ministry of Regional Development, the project is poised to significantly improve accessibility, facilitate the seamless movement of goods and services, and catalyse economic prosperity in Arogbo-Ibe.

The flag-off event drew an array of influential dignitaries and stakeholders, including High Chief General Ayebi Sylvester Sofiyegha, Head of the Ondo State Liaison Office and the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP); Engr. Adekunle Tijani, Lead Contractor Representative; His Royal Highness F.J. Feku, the Tarabiritorhu of Arogbo; High Chief Japhet Ibori, the Agwo of Agbwobiri; Hon. Samuel Jemi, Chairman of Arogbo LCDA; alongside other esteemed chiefs, government representatives, and community leaders.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Donald Ojogo reaffirmed his commitment to the infrastructural transformation of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency. He emphasised that the jetty project aligns with the aspirations of the people, ensuring enhanced connectivity and economic revitalisation.
In his address, the Agadagba/Paramount Ruler of Arogbo-Ijaw Ibe (Kingdom), lauded the initiative, describing it as a pivotal intervention in the quest for sustainable development. He called upon all stakeholders to unite in ensuring the project’s successful execution and long-term impact.
The event concluded on a high note with goodwill messages, traditional blessings, and a collective pledge to strengthen collaboration between government agencies and traditional institutions for enduring progress.
