APC youth leaders condemns violence in Ondo
The APC Youths in Ondo State have called for calm following an attack on the party secretariat by unknown individuals on Saturday in Akure, the state capital. Led by Adeyemo Olalekan, the youth group strongly condemned the attack, emphasizing that it violated democratic principles and party regulations.
Olalekan urged members to remain calm in light of the act committed by some miscreants, stating, “As the youth leader of APC in the state, I condemn this unprovoked attack outright because it goes against the tenets of democracy and party rules.” He reminded that the party has provisions for resolving conflicts according to its constitution.

He also called on security agencies to take swift action to arrest those responsible and their backers. Olalekan rejected false accusations against the State Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, affirming that efforts are being made to find those behind the attack. He praised Adetimehin as a dedicated leader who values his followers and loves his people.
Olalekan encouraged party members to stay united as they prepare for upcoming local government elections, urging them not to let divisive politicians cause internal conflict. He also appealed to youth leaders to stay calm, reaffirming the APC’s commitment to resolving issues through proper channels.
The Chairman has faced accusations of calling for a military takeover and other allegations of misconduct. However, several party stakeholders, including the state party organ, have opposed the proposed suspension of Adetimehin, deeming it unconstitutional.
