APC inaugurates campaign sub committee ahead of Ondo Governorship election

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, along with the National Working Committee, has announced the formation of sub-committees to support the party’s campaign for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State, scheduled for November 16.

According to a statement signed by APC National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Argungu, former Osun State Governor Bisi Akande will lead the Elders Committee, with former Ondo governorship aspirant Pius Akinyelure assisting him.

The Finance Committee will be chaired by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio as his deputy. Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni will head the Media and Publicity Committee, supported by Minister of Information Idris Mohammed as his deputy.

In terms of security, Borno Governor Babagana Zulum will chair the committee, with Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya as his deputy.

The statement also noted that the inauguration of the Ondo State Gubernatorial National Campaign Council will take place on October 28 at the International Event Centre (The Dome) in Akure.

Additionally, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been appointed Chairman of the National Campaign Council to lead the 305-member team in its efforts to secure victory in the Ondo governorship election. He will be supported by former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege as Secretary, along with other prominent APC members, including Governors Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, and Dapo Abiodun, as well as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
