APC Chieftain, Mr Woseebi Progress, Calls for Inclusiveness and Functional Secretariat in Ondo South Senatorial District
Mr. Wawei Woseebi Progress, Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo South Senatorial District, has expressed concern over the absence of a functional party secretariat and lack of inclusiveness in the party’s organization.
Stating his position, he said that according to the APC Constitution (Article 10), each of the seven levels of party organization – National, Zonal, State, Senatorial District, Local Government Area, Ward, and Polling Unit – should have a functional secretariat to promote internal democracy.
As the Secretary of the APC in Ondo South Senatorial District, Mr. Woseebi stated that he had played a crucial role in administering party affairs, coordinating activities, and ensuring party visibility. However, he is concerned about the lack of a functional secretariat in the district.
Mr. Woseebi urged the State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, and other concerned authorities to recognize the Exco of the senatorial district and promote equity and fairness among members. He believed that effective governance, strong party structure, inclusive decision-making, better representation, and service to the district would be enhanced if party leaders heed this advice.
The party chieftain recommends establishing a functional party secretariat in Ondo South Senatorial District and ensuring total inclusiveness of the senatorial Exco to enhance party operations and coordination; foster effective communication; promote grassroots engagement and strengthen party presence in the district
Mr Woseebi affirmed that by strengthening the party structure and promoting inclusivity, the party could improve governance and better serve the people of the state, particularly in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
