APC and PDP Clash Over Alleged Diversion of FG Palliatives
In Ondo State, South-West Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are exchanging accusations regarding the alleged misappropriation of Federal Government palliatives intended for the populace.
The PDP asserts that the palliatives have not been distributed to the state’s residents weeks after their delivery. Leye Igbabo, the PDP’s Director of Media and Publicity, alleges that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is attempting to repackage and rebrand the palliatives to boost his governorship campaign ahead of the November elections.
In response, the APC claims that all food palliatives received from the Federal Government have already been distributed to the 203 wards in the state. Alex Kalejaye, the APC’s State Publicity Secretary, dismissed the PDP’s allegations as immature and baseless, insisting that the APC-led government in Ondo State has managed the palliative distribution with complete transparency, sincerity, and integrity.
