A sweeping road rehabilitation effort is underway in Amapere community, signaling a renewed push for grassroots development by the administration of High Chief (Hon) Caleb Ebimobowei Molos in Ese-Odo Local Government Area.
Heavy equipment and construction teams have moved into the riverine town, carrying out extensive grading and widening of key township roads that have long posed challenges to residents.
The intervention is already reshaping daily life, with smoother routes gradually replacing previously difficult pathways.
Local authorities say the project is part of a broader infrastructure agenda aimed at improving connectivity across communities.
In an official statement made available to newsmen by the chief press secretary to the Council’s chairman, Mr. DenisPounah, the administration emphasized that “the ongoing road works will significantly ease movement and strengthen links between Amapere and neighbouring areas.”
For residents, the development brings both relief and renewed optimism. Many believe the improved road network will cut travel time and make it easier to access vital services, including healthcare, education, and local markets.
