Al Ahli raises Osimhen bid to €80M

Chelsea set to miss out as Al Ahli agree to sign Victor Osimhen for €80m, the Super Eagles striker, is close to joining Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia for £67.3 million (€80 million), meaning Chelsea will not be getting their hands on him. Sky Sports reports that Osimhen’s longtime supporters, Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia, have outbid Chelsea for a four-year contract worth roughly £33.6 million (€40 million) every season, or roughly £646,154 per week, tax free.

There is also a release provision in the agreement. The forward, who was formerly with Wolfsburg and Lille, will have a physical with Al Ahli on Friday and will be joining the team that Napoli wanted him to join.

With the acquisition of Romelu Lukaku, a €30 million transaction on Thursday, Napoli has subsequently signed Osimhen’s replacement. Lukaku is a Belgian striker.
