A Calculated Rise: Hon. Samuel Jemi’s Name Echoes Louder in Ese-Odo Corridors, Iji Endorses

In Igbobini, a quiet political undercurrent surged into a defining moment as Hon. Samuel Ebijoh Jemi, stepped into what observers now describe as a “corridor of influence,” following a consequential parley with the former governorship Aspirant in Ondo State, under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the current Ambassador to Nigeria and Russia, Sola Joseph Iji.

The encounter, far from ceremonial, unfolded at Iji’s Igbobini residence with the weight of strategy, symbolism, and subtle power recalibration.

It is part of Jemi’s unfolding consultation circuit, but this particular stop carried an unmistakable political voltage.

In a tone both affirming and deliberate, Ambassador Iji cast his words like a seal of credibility on the aspirant, invoking history, familiarity, and personal conviction.

“I have known him long enough to speak without hesitation, his disposition, his discipline, and his leadership fibre stand firm,” he declared.

Within the inner mechanics of the All Progressives Congress, such a statement is not mere rhetoric but it is a signal flare.

Seasoned watchers of Ondo’s political theatre interpret the moment as more than endorsement; they see alignment, a quiet stitching together of influence and ambition.

Ambassador Iji, a figure whose political footprint stretches from gubernatorial contests to diplomatic corridors, does not lend his voice lightly. When he does, it tends to echo.

His campaign team, includes the chief press secretary to the Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo LGA,  Mr. Denis Pounah, Hon. Perejitei Tiewei and a host of others. Meanwhile, it appears to be operating on a different frequency, less noise, smartly executed.

His consultations are not just visits; they are deliberate incursions into the architecture of power, designed to consolidate trust, neutralize dissent, and project inevitability.

There is also a narrative forming, one of ascent. Not loud, not brash, but steady and insistent. The kind that builds in layers until it becomes difficult to ignore.

For the Ese-Odo electorates, the implications are beginning to crystallize. What once looked like a routine political ambition is now acquiring the texture of a movement, fueled by endorsements, strengthened by alliances, and sharpened by timing.

As the political atmosphere thickens, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: this is no longer a passive contest.

It is evolving into a measured but potent struggle for relevance, control, and ultimately, representation.

And in that unfolding script, Samuel Ebijoh Jemi is no longer just participating but he is positioning.

Additionally, Hon. Jemi also reached out to the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ese-Odo, Hon. Odunayo Ojo, and received his undiluted support ahead of the much anticipated party primary election, to become the party’s flag bearer for the Ondo State House of Assembly.
