According to the statement, AMC will collaborate with other socio-political organisations in Arogbo and the Niger Delta, ensuring that leaders remain focused on delivering the dividends of democracy. As part of its activities, AMC plans to pay solidarity visits to the Agadagba of Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom and High Chief Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), the high priest of the Egbesu deity, to foster unity and development in the region.
The council also vowed to combat trado-political victimisation and resist blackmail against the Agadagba stool or any individual dedicated to the progress of Arogbo Kingdom. “We shall deploy every intelligence and intellectual arsenal within our capacity to fight against social injustice,” the statement read.
AMC further called on all compatriots, development champions, and critical stakeholders to unite in defence of Arogbo’-Ijaw’s traditional and political institutions. “AMC has come to stay to foil unholy attempts at tarnishing the image of our worthy leaders,” the council declared.
