A prominent Niger Delta stakeholder, Dickson Alabor, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his administration’s continued support of the Nigerian Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko. He also extended his heartfelt congratulations to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, and Hon. Julius Pondi, the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, for their unwavering commitment to the institution’s growth and development.
Speaking on the strategic importance of the university, Alabor emphasized that NMU, Okerenkoko, remains a crucial pillar in advancing maritime education and fostering economic growth in the Niger Delta. He acknowledged President Tinubu’s role in sustaining and enhancing the institution’s operations, describing it as a testament to the federal government’s commitment to educational and infrastructural development in the region.
Furthermore, Alabor lauded Tompolo’s persistent advocacy for the university, noting that his contributions have been instrumental in ensuring the institution’s stability.
