The suspects and 27 others were paraded in front of Akure press by Amotekun Corps Commander Adetunji Adeleye. According to Mr. Adeleye, the suspect was apprehended following a number of reports on his illicit activities within the state, and he will be prosecuted. Ijilakinro emphasized that he only raped three of the women during interrogation, claiming that some of the interactions were consensual. Additionally, he mentioned that he occasionally encountered the women when driving between Akure and Idanre Road. He claimed that he frequently brought some of the women to hotels where they ate, drank, had sex, and engaged in immoral behavior.

Only three of the women were raped by me. And they told me who they were. I therefore gave some of them money whenever we spoke,” he claimed. Ijilakinro discussed his prior conviction, stating that he was imprisoned in 2021 as a result of an assault case involving his neighbor.
