A delegation of Third Phase Generals paid a courtesy visit to the Head of the Ondo Liaison Office, High Chief Sylvester Ayebi Sofiyegha, in Agadagba-Obon, to deliver a message to Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), requesting Christmas and New Year support.

The delegation, consisting of prominent members such as Boro Opukutu, Mike Atelemo, Tuweke Bright, Johnson Ajuwa, Otegha Adeyemi, Great Francis, Governor Godwin, Taye Idolo Lulu, Epiri Okoro, Posi Serun (General Osaisai), S.A. Ojujoh, Akins Mumboh, and Fiyeboh Jokimu, emphasised the significance of the visit in celebrating High Chief Sofiyegha’s appointment and relaying their concerns to Dr. Otuaro.

We know that whatever we say here will reach Dr. Dennis Otuaro because you are representing him, and that informed our decision to relate our message through the Ondo Liaison Office instead of traveling to Abuja.”

They commended Dr. Otuaro’s inclusive leadership style and his support for appointing High Chief Sylvester Sofiyegha, describing it as a milestone in fostering representation and addressing grassroots concerns.

The delegation also praised Dr. Otuaro’s contributions during the recent Ondo State governorship election, highlighting his unprecedented show of support, which has strengthened their loyalty to his administration.

The delegation outlined their primary demands, which include:

1. Leadership Training – Since their documentation in December 2012, no Third Phase leaders from Ondo State have been included in leadership training programs.

2. Resolution of BVN Issues – Addressing lingering BVN-related problems affecting members.

3. Scholarship Slots – Inclusion of Third Phase leaders in scholarship opportunities through the Liaison Office.

4. Skills Acquisition Slots – Allocation of trainee slots at the Vocational Training Centre in Agadagba-Obon to empower members.

In response, High Chief Sylvester Sofiyegha appreciated the delegation for their visit and assured them of his commitment to conveying their message to Dr. Dennis Otuaro. He encouraged the leaders to remain calm and trust the process.

“I will communicate all your requests to my boss, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, and by the grace of God, the Vocational Training Centre in Agadagba-Obon will soon begin operations. Many things will work in your favor,” he said.

High Chief Sofiyegha described Dr. Otuaro as a “visionary leader with a deep love for the Ijaw Nation and a strong commitment to inclusivity.”

“Dr. Dennis is a leader with the spirit of love and dedication to the Ijaw Nation. I use this opportunity to encourage all Third Phase Generals to remain calm and trust in the Administrator’s plans for us,” he concluded.

The visit reaffirmed the Third Phase Generals’ confidence in Dr. Dennis Otuaro’s leadership and underscored their hopes for continued inclusivity and empowerment under the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
