The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his competent leadership during the recently concluded 11th Session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) held in Cape Town, South Africa.

Dr. Otuaro praised President Tinubu’s leadership, noting that his clear direction facilitated the active participation of the Nigerian delegation at the bilateral meeting, which was co-chaired by President Tinubu and his South African counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa.

According to Otuaro, Tinubu demonstrated unwavering commitment and capacity to deepen bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between Nigeria and South Africa. He expressed optimism that the harmonized Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be signed by both nations would yield mutual benefits in economic and political spheres.

Dr. Otuaro, who led the PAP delegation to the BNC session, lauded the inclusion of the PAP within certain aspects of the bilateral agreements. He emphasized that this inclusion would significantly enhance the framework for training Niger Delta youths, particularly in education and commercial aviation.

“This is a huge boost to the implementation of the PAP’s objectives,” Otuaro stated. “It aligns with the President’s Renewed Hope agenda, ensuring sustainable peace, security, and socio-economic development in the Niger Delta region.”

He further described the development as a testament to President Tinubu’s strong support for the PAP and his commitment to advancing the welfare of Niger Delta youths.

“I applaud His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for providing quality leadership at the 11th Session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission,” Otuaro remarked. “The MoU will capture education and vocational training of Niger Delta youths in commercial aviation and other key areas.”

The PAP Administrator concluded by appreciating President Tinubu for his continued support of the Amnesty Programme and the people of the Niger Delta.
