The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has challenged any governor or leader within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to publicly label him as a mole. Speaking on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Wike dared anyone to make such an accusation against him.

He stated, “Before I accepted my ministerial role, I notified the PDP at the state, zonal, and national levels. If anyone within PDP thinks I’m a mole, they should name themselves.”

Wike criticized those who try to be deceptive, asserting that he is straightforward about his intentions and actions. He challenged any PDP member or governor to come on national television and accuse him of being a mole.

He recounted that in 2023, he publicly refused to support the PDP presidential candidate, citing concerns about fairness and equity, and questioned how the PDP managed to win various elections in the state if his actions were detrimental.

Describing himself as a man of integrity, Wike revealed that although Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki had asked for his support for his preferred successor, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, he refused, citing past insults he received despite his support for Obaseki.

Wike acknowledged that the Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) is his cousin but insisted that no one, including the INEC Chairman, can coerce his cousin into wrongdoing.

He also noted that the Edo REC was appointed over a year ago and questioned why PDP members are raising concerns about him now. Additionally, he expressed his unwillingness to forgive Governor Similaye Fubara for allegedly dismantling the political network that supported him.
