The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has launched its Local Government Campaign Council for Idanre Local Government and urged the team to secure votes for their gubernatorial candidate, Agboola Ajayi.

Olorogun Eddy Olafeso, Chairman of the Ondo PDP Campaign Council, expressed gratitude to the team for their support and predicted a strong showing from Idanre. He criticized the APC government and encouraged the community to express their dissatisfaction through their votes.

Deputy governorship candidate Festus Akingbaso called for non-violence before, during, and after the election. He advised the campaign team to engage in door-to-door voter outreach, suggesting that while the APC might have more financial resources, the PDP’s strength lies in their faith and determination. Akingbaso emphasized that despite the APC’s threats and financial advantage, the PDP is determined to win and urged the youth to remain peaceful.

Ajayi stated that their visit was also to express condolences for the recent death of Idanre’s king, Oba Fredrick Aroloye. He criticized the APC for the hardship faced by Nigerians and implied that voting for them would be unreasonable.

Idanre PDP Chairman Adekunle Akinlalu noted that the party’s chances of victory were improving, particularly with Akingbaso as the deputy governorship candidate.
