The Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun Corps, has apprehended 21 suspects in Ondo State on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, and other crimes. State Commander Mr. Adetunji Adeleye reported that the arrests occurred over a few weeks, with 19 suspects taken in for general law violations and the rest for kidnapping. Adeleye noted that the arrests followed credible tips from the public.

He urged people to avoid buying cheap second-hand goods, which could be linked to criminal activities, and advised against patronizing commercial motorcyclists who conceal their identities. He also mentioned the dismantling of a syndicate involved in stealing motorcycles and breaking into vacant houses. The Amotekun Corps has implemented new security measures aimed at enhancing peace, especially in border areas with Edo and Kogi states. Despite some incidents, Adeleye emphasized that Ondo State remains relatively peaceful.
