The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has declared that it will not tolerate any attempts by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to intimidate Bauchi State. In a statement issued by its National Coordinator, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, the CNG strongly condemned Wike’s alleged threats against Bauchi State.

The statement criticized Wike’s alleged threats as disgraceful and thuggish, especially given that they were made on live television. It expressed dismay that such behavior comes from someone in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, describing it as a serious affront to Bauchi State and a threat to the peace and stability of Northern Nigeria.

The CNG emphasized that it would not tolerate such threats and is prepared to confront Wike and anyone else who tries to intimidate or destabilize the region. They criticized the appointment of individuals who display disrespect for the rule of law and civil discourse to high government positions, asserting that Wike’s actions have embarrassed the Tinubu administration.

The group also urged President Tinubu to reconsider having such individuals in his government, calling for leaders who promote unity and stability rather than threatening it. In conclusion, the CNG reaffirmed its commitment to defending Northern Nigeria from any form of aggression or intimidation and is ready to respond to any threats from Wike or similar figures.
