Ondo Government inaugurates Permanent Secretaries

Yesterday, Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, officially inaugurated four new Permanent Secretaries and three Tutors-General, urging them to make a significant impact on the state’s public service. The ceremony took place at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office in Akure.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Mrs. Yemi Pirisola, Mr. Idowu Ojo, Mr. Olaleye Philip, and Alhaji Mudashiru Adegbegha. The new Tutors-General include Mr. Adebayo Ajimuda, Mrs. Owoka Adedamolola, and Dr. Akanke Idowu Asogbon.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized his administration’s commitment to revitalizing and enhancing the state’s public service. He explained that these appointments were crucial for filling key positions left by retirees and for gradually ensuring state representation at high levels. He also noted that such promotions are vital for motivating and inspiring public service personnel.

He underscored the importance of a strong and effective public service in achieving his administration’s development goals. The Governor called on the new officials to lead by example and ensure high-quality service delivery in their roles.

Governor Aiyedatiwa also thanked the state workforce for their role in maintaining industrial peace and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to their welfare, highlighting the prompt payment of salaries, pensions, and gratuity arrears despite financial constraints.
