500 thousand homes to access clean water_ Gov Aiyedatiwa
As the building and channelization of water supply projects around the state get underway, Ondo State Governor Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has asked for the assistance and collaboration of locals, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
The governor made this request, according to Ebenezer Adeniyan, his chief press secretary, on Tuesday during an Akure stakeholder conference. He also discussed the Akure water supply and sanitation project as well as urban water reform.
Aiyedatiwa emphasized that the project’s goals include improving sanitation and creating jobs for skilled laborers in addition to supplying clean water.
“This project is not just about providing clean water; it is about transforming our state,” the governor declared. To ensure the success of this effort, we require the backing of all residents and stakeholders. It’s a massive endeavor with the dual goals of generating employment and better hygiene.

“Our goal is to provide access to clean water for 500,000 households and approximately 2 million individuals. This is a monumental task, but it is one we are ready to undertake.”
“We will be repairing and revitalising all previously abandoned mechanical equipment, treatment plants, storage facilities, and pipelines,” said Mr. Kehinde Adebayo, the project’s technical consultant. This all-encompassing strategy will guarantee that our water delivery system is dependable and effective.
