ONDO STATE’S INGLORIOUS NEGLECT: Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom Decries Systematic Exclusion in Governance

The Arogbo-Ibe people in Ondo State are outraged and disillusioned by their blatant omission from the Governor’s cabinet and appointments, despite their substantial demographic presence and significant contributions to the state’s growth.

In a letter personally signed by a prominent native inhabitant of Arogbo ijaw, Mr. Uguoji Dubamobowei Isaac, who lamented over their consistence downtrodden in the helm of affairs of Ondo state is partly reads:

“Our community has been callously disenfranchised, relegated to the fringes of governance, and denied basic necessities like infrastructure and empowerment initiatives.

The Governor’s deliberate indifference has fostered widespread discontent and alienation. We feel like second-class citizens, invisible and ignored.”

Isaac emphasized that the Governor’s development projects and initiatives have consistently bypassed Arogbo-Ibe, perpetuating a culture of exclusion.

“A cursory examination of the Governor’s appointments reveals a stark absence of representation from our community.

This egregious oversight has silenced our voice in government, perpetuating a cycle of marginalization. We demand an end to this systemic neglect and a rightful place at the table.”

The Arogbo-Ibe community is urging the Governor to address this glaring imbalance by:

– Ensuring inclusive representation in his cabinet and appointments
– Acknowledging their contributions to the state’s development
– Providing equal opportunities for their youth in government programs and initiatives

Isaac concluded, “The people of Arogbo-Ibe deserve dignity and recognition.

It’s time for the Governor to rectify this historical injustice and integrate our community into his development agenda. Anything less is unacceptable.”
