A suspected terrorist kingpin identified as Kachalla Maha has claimed that some security operatives deployed against him allegedly leak operational intelligence and provide advance notice of military movements.

According to reports by SaharaReporters, Maha made the claims in a viral audio conversation reportedly conducted in Hausa with a government-linked figure addressed as “Comrade.”

In the recording, the terrorist alleged that he receives information ahead of planned security operations, including actions reportedly coordinated at higher levels of government.

He was quoted as saying:

“I swear to God Almighty, all the security forces being sent to attack my camp are my boys.

“They inform me anytime they are coming.”

During the conversation, the government-linked figure repeatedly appealed to the suspected terrorist leader to embrace peace and halt attacks on affected communities.

Responding, Maha accused security personnel of harassment, destruction of property, seizure of livestock and targeting people under his influence.

He warned that continued actions against him could trigger further violence.

According to the recording, he threatened retaliation and alleged that security operations had worsened tensions in affected communities.

Maha also claimed that local informants and intelligence sources within communities allegedly provide information used in attacks.

He alleged that some residents cooperated with security agencies and accused authorities of failing to address grievances through dialogue.

Throughout the discussion, the government-linked figure continued urging restraint, warning that violence would not resolve the crisis and calling for repentance and peaceful engagement.

The conversation later shifted toward discussions around justice, accountability and appeals for reconciliation.

Maha reportedly insisted that any pathway to peace would depend on the release of detained associates and resolution of disputes surrounding seized property and livestock.

The government-linked figure denied allegations that the Katsina State Government was responsible for certain arrests and confiscations referenced during the conversation and maintained that ongoing violence affects communities across the state.

The recording, which has circulated widely online, has generated renewed concerns over insecurity, allegations of intelligence leaks and the broader challenges facing counterinsurgency efforts in parts of northern Nigeria.

Authorities have not officially verified the authenticity of the recording or publicly responded to the specific allegations contained in the conversation as of the time of filing this report.
