Founder of , Bishop David Oyedepo, has advised members of his congregation to provide his phone number to kidnappers in the event of an abduction.
The cleric made the statement during a recent church service while addressing past incidents involving alleged kidnappings of some church members. A video of the sermon has since circulated widely on social media, attracting public attention and reactions.
Oyedepo recalled a previous case involving a pastor linked to the church, claiming that spiritual intervention was made during the situation. He used the example to encourage members to remain confident in their faith rather than panic during crises.
He further stated that believers carry spiritual authority, urging them to understand what they possess spiritually.
“If anybody picks you, give them my number. If he is not cut down, then I’m not God sent. You carry the same force if you can only discover it,” he said.
