An emerging Ijaw music talent, Jovin Eleleba, has publicly called out Nigerian street-hop singer Portable over alleged intellectual property infringement.
According to reports, Jovin Eleleba accused Portable of using his song “Asawana” without proper authorization. The Ijaw singer emphasized that the track in question is not a love song as portrayed, insisting that the original work belongs to him.
Eleleba stated that Portable failed to seek approval before performing or using the song, describing the act as plagiarism and a violation of his creative rights. He urged the singer to “do the right thing” by acknowledging the original ownership of the song.
The rising star further warned that failure to address the issue appropriately could result in legal consequences, stressing his readiness to protect his intellectual property through lawful means.
