Solidarity Visit: IPF Supports IWC Chairperson After Ghastly Auto Crash

The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has visited Comrade Ebierebo Ande, the Western Zone Chairperson of the Ijaw Women Connect (IWC), following her involvement in a severe car accident.

Comrade Ande is currently receiving treatment at Capitol Hill Hospital, located along Airport Road in Effurun, Delta State.

Led by its President, Comrade Ozobo Austin, the IPF delegation visited her on Thursday and made a financial contribution of ₦100,000 to assist with her medical bills.

Speaking during the visit, Comrade Ozobo expressed the Forum’s concern and commitment to supporting one of their own during a difficult time.

As soon as we received news of the unfortunate incident, we felt the need to act swiftly in solidarity,” he said. “Her injuries are serious, and it’s by divine mercy that she survived. She needs every possible support.”

He also called on well-meaning individuals, particularly Ijaw sons and daughters, to extend their support in any way possible, financially and through prayers.

We’re appealing to all those who can help. This is the time to show compassion. An injury to one is truly an injury to all,” he added.

During the visit, Comrade Ozobo offered prayers for her speedy and complete recovery.
