Donald Ojogo Pushes Forward: National Institute Bill for Agadagba-Obon Clears Second Reading

A bill for an Act to establish the National Institute for Vocational and Entrepreneurial Studies in Agadagba-Obon, Arogbo, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, has scaled through second reading on the floor of the House of Representatives.

The bill, sponsored by Hon. Donald Kimikanboh Ojogo, member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, seeks to enhance access to technical and entrepreneurial education, particularly in the Niger Delta region.

Leading the debate, Hon. Ojogo emphasized the strategic importance of vocational training in addressing youth unemployment and fostering economic development in oil-producing communities. According to him, the proposed institute will serve as a center for skills acquisition, innovation, and enterprise development, aligning with national goals on human capital development.

Following robust deliberations, the bill received overwhelming support and was referred to the appropriate House Committee for further legislative work.
