The Nigeria Police Cooperative Multi-Purpose Society Ltd. has commenced the distribution of tricycles, popularly known as Keke Napep, to interested police personnel. This initiative follows the introduction of Bulk Stalker Engineering Limited as a welfare partner under the directive of Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
A police source confirmed the development, stating, “The Police Cooperative is providing Keke Napep to personnel who wish to acquire them.”

On March 16, SaharaReporters had reported on a police wireless message dated March 12, 2025, from the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) overseeing the Police Cooperative Society in Lagos. The message, circulated to various police departments, commands, and units, outlined the initiative under the Nigeria Police Cooperative Multi-Purpose Society Ltd.
The company was identified as the supplier of tricycle trucks, trike pick-ups, TTI single cabins, tricycle taxis, Trike Taxi TP7, and Trika ambulances, all available on loan to interested officers. Each tricycle is priced at ₦5.5 million, with a repayment plan of ₦90,000 per month over 60 months. The repayment will be automatically deducted from the officers’ salaries through the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).
The notification also mentioned that application forms would be available at all police cooperative shops.
Tricycles, commonly referred to as Keke, are a significant mode of public transportation in Nigeria. Providing police officers access to these vehicles on loan offers an opportunity for additional income and financial stability.
