25 year old Man Stabs Dad To Death

Chibunna Chiemelie, a 25-year-old man, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his father to death at their home on Oba Kabiru Street in Isolo, Lagos. The arrest followed a report made by a neighbor of the deceased to the Aswani Police Division.

Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that Chiemelie confessed to the crime after his arrest. The incident occurred on October 3, 2024, around 9:30 PM, when the neighbor alerted the police about a dispute between Chiemelie and his 68-year-old father, Mr. Chiemelie. Upon arriving at the scene, the neighbor discovered the victim’s lifeless body in a pool of blood, prompting the police report.

Officers found a blood-stained knife near the body, and photographs of the scene were taken. The victim was transported to the General Hospital in Isolo, where he was pronounced dead. Chiemelie was arrested shortly after, and investigations are ongoing. The body has been placed in the mortuary at the General Hospital.
