The Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos (CEM), joined children and youths across the local government in commemorating the 2025 Children’s Day celebration in grand style.

Addressing a jubilant crowd at the Council Secretariat in Igbekebo, the political headquarters of the LGA, Chairman Molos warmly welcomed all participants and congratulated the children for witnessing yet another edition of the annual event. He also commended parents and guardians for their unwavering dedication to proper parenting, which continues to shape the future of the local government.

As we mark this year’s Children’s Day across the country, we must continue to guide our children to stay focused on their education, respect their teachers, and remain obedient to their parents,” he advised.

Chairman Molos used the occasion to caution children and youths against joining negative peer groups, such as cultists or those involved in cybercrime, warning that such paths lead to the erosion of societal values and a bleak future.

Aligning his message with this year’s theme, “Stand Up, Speak Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation,” the Council Boss urged children to be courageous in the face of adversity and speak out against abuse or intimidation. He reiterated the importance of confidence and self-expression in building a just society.

While offering words of encouragement, Chairman Molos expressed optimism for a brighter future under the current administration. “We must continue to believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which promises a new Nigeria,” he noted, while also applauding Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to youth inclusion in governance.

The day featured a vibrant display of cultural performances by schoolchildren, and prizes were awarded in various categories. Trophies, exercise books, pens, and other educational materials were presented to outstanding participants, creating an atmosphere of excitement and appreciation.

In a statement issued by Denis Pounah, Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, he affirmed that the council remains dedicated to supporting children’s development and will continue to provide platforms for their growth and participation in meaningful activities.
